Disney Parks Blog recently shared a ton of information on what we can expect at both Disneyland Resort and Walt Disney World in 2026. I thought that it might be helpful to break some of that information down into smaller, more specific segments. Here’s the latest on the Smugglers Run update.
Guests will experience a whole new story while riding Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run. It will feature The Mandalorian and his adopted son Grogu (aka Baby Yoda). The first day to ride the new adventure on both coasts will be Friday, May 22. That’s also the day that The Mandalorian and Grogu will hit theaters.
There’s no word on when or if Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run will close for refurbishment before the change. My guess is that the ride won’t need to shut down, since it’s a behind the scenes change. If there is a closure, it shouldn’t be a long one. As far as I know, the queue isn’t changing.
