Halfway to the Holidays is always an important “event” on Disney Parks Blog. It’s when dates and details start to be released for the Holiday Season!
We’ve been promised that Halfway to the Holidays will begin on June 24. That makes sense, it’s six months until Christmas Eve.
We’ve been given a few clues on what to expect this year for Halfway to the Holidays. Disney Parks Blog has shared a fireplace with four stockings. They were revealed one at a time.
The first stocking revealed on Disney Parks Blog belongs to Kermie. (I have a feeling that wasn’t Kermit’s idea!) Inside the stocking is Ollie, the gingerbread man mascot from Disney Jollywood Nights. I’m a huge fan of Disney Jollywood Nights at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, and can’t wait to find out the dates so I can start making plans!
The second stocking revealed is Mickey’s. In his stocking is a reindeer and Space Mountain, decked in Christmas colors. It’s safe to assume that we’ll have the dates for Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party at the Magic Kingdom tomorrow! It’s already been announced that it will take place this year.
The third stocking reveal is Figment’s. Inside is a Passport and a dreidel, which means Epcot International Festival of the Holidays news. Traditionally, the festival starts the day after Thanksgiving and runs until December 30. This year, Thanksgiving is on November 26.
The final stocking revealed has me stumped, I’ll admit it. It’s Minnie’s stocking. Inside the stocking is a letter, an envelope, and a red bow. On the outside of the stocking there’s a Mickey Waffle, a traditional Mickey Ears ornament, and a Mickey shaped peppermint. Since the other three parks are covered in the picture, my first thought was Disney’s Animal Kingdom. With DinoLand U.S.A. closed, I wonder if they’re planning something new. I guess we’ll find out tomorrow!
