The Fourth of July is almost here, which means that people everywhere will want to watch fireworks! If you’re in the Orlando area but aren’t headed to Walt Disney World, there are plenty of other choices. This year it is especially important to celebrate, since it’s the country’s 250th Anniversary, and the Fourth of July falls on a Saturday!
You don’t have to travel far from Walt Disney World to visit Sunset Walk. It’s located just a few minutes from Disney’s Animal Kingdom, at Margaritaville Resort. Sunset Walk has restaurants and shopping, and there’s plenty of free entertainment most evenings. Sunset Walk is becoming a destination for both locals and tourists, and they really play up special times of the year.
There are two events at Sunset Walk to celebrate the Fourth of July this year. The first is designed with little ones in mind. It’s called Kids’ 4th of July Family Celebration, and it will take place from 11:00 AM until 12:30. There will be a DJ, confetti, bubbles, and lots more. Kids’ 4th of July Family Celebration is free to attend, and there are extras such as train rides for an additional cost.
At 4:00, the main party begins at Sunset Walk. It’s called America 250: July 4th Star Spangled Celebration. There will be lots of extra entertainment throughout the evening, including bands, DJs, street performers, and, of course, fireworks. America 250: July 4th Star Spangled Celebration is family friendly, and ends at 11:30 PM. The fireworks will take place at 10:00. It is free to attend.
Featured area fireworks in 2026 include Walt Disney World, SeaWorld Orlando, Busch Gardens Tampa Bay, Sunset Walk, Island H2O Water Park, Booms & Beats at MetroWest, Fireworks at the Fountain, Old Town and Fun Spot America, and Celebration, FL.
