Look for the statue of Grete Waitz in Norway Frozen may have taken over much of Norway in World Showcase, but there are still plenty of nods that aren’t to Arendelle. One thing to look for is the statue of Grete Waitz. She was a World Champion marathon runner. She also won silver in the 1984 Olympics, and she won the New York City Marathon nine times. These are just a few of her accomplishments. Waitz died of cancer in 2011. Her statue in the Norway Pavilion is a fitting tribute to an incredible Norwegian athlete.
