Thoughts on Early Disney Jollywood Nights Reviews

Do you plan to go?

Disney Jollywood Nights have started at Disney’s Hollywood Studios! The first one took place on Saturday, November 11, and like many others, I immediately hit Facebook to find out what people who attended the debut event thought. I have tickets, but I’m going to one of the evenings later in the season. I want to know what to expect.

Early reviews from people who attended are all over the place. Some people thought that it was incredible, while others said that they won’t buy tickets again if it returns next year. Some of the bad reviews are so bad that people who read them talked about contacting Disney to see if they could change their tickets to Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party.

The main problems that I’ve heard were about lines for food and just some general disorganization. The disorganization will get worked out I’m sure. With Disney Jollywood Nights being a brand new event Disney didn’t know how the flow would go. I think that’s just birth pains.

The food lines will most likely calm down as well. I’m sure that there were people who wanted to try everything. People will post food reviews online on what is good and what to skip. That should help to rectify the lines, at least somewhat. A lot about it is knowing what to expect.

I’ve heard mostly positive things about the two new shows. The Wait Times for the rides were also pretty short. Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance uses a Virtual Queue for Disney Jollywood Nights, so guests don’t have to worry about a wait that would take up half of the time.

Another positive is that I’ve heard that many of the guests dressed in their holiday best. This experience is more adult than Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party, it’s more like a Dapper Day but after dark. I’m already trying to decide what I want to wear when I go next month!

My final thought is this, don’t let some bad reviews change your mind if you’re thinking of attending Disney Jollywood Nights. There are special characters, fun shows, low Wait Times, and the return of Jingle Bell, Jingle BAM! Go with an open mind. You just might have the time of your life! I plan to when I attend next month.
