Halloween Outside of Walt Disney World: Howl-O-Scream

Getting ready for Howl-O-Scream at SeaWorld Orlando

If you’re looking for a Halloween event that is scarier than Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party but isn’t quite up to the Halloween Horror Nights caliber, then Howl-O-Scream could be the solution. The best part is that you have two different Howl-O-Scream events to choose from!

Howl-O-Scream at SeaWorld Orlando runs on select nights, starting on September 8 and running until Halloween Night. It is a separate ticketed event. There are five haunted houses, seven scare zones, and three live shows. Beware of the Sirens! There are themed foods and drinks for Howl-O-Scream, and some of the rides are open.

Howl-O-Scream at Busch Gardens Tampa also runs on select nights between September 8 and October 31. It is also a special ticketed event. At Busch Garden’s Howl-O-Scream you’ll find five haunted houses, six scare zones, and four shows. Again, there are themed foods and drinks for Howl-O-Scream, and some of the rides are open.

If you plan to attend, buy your tickets online ahead of time for the best price. (That’s always a good idea anyway if you plan to buy tickets for any of the SeaWorld Parks and Entertainment parks, check online.) You can buy tickets for Howl-O-Scream at SeaWorld Orlando here, and Howl-O-Scream Busch Gardens here.  Don’t assume that they are the same event because they have the same name. The themes and scares are different, and if you’re a scare fan you just might want to do both!
