It’s that time of year again!!!

If you’re looking for the opposite of Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, Universal Orlando Resort has you covered. Halloween Horror Nights (also known as HHN) is the premier event in Orlando when it comes to scares! You won’t find a cute theme song and characters dressed up for a parade. Halloween Horror Nights is filled with blood, gore, and frights around every corner.

One of the biggest thrills of Halloween Horror Nights is the themed Haunted Houses. There are ten in 2023. The themes are Stranger Things 4, The Exorcist: Believer, The Last of Us, Chucky: Ultimate Kill Count, Universal Monsters: Unmasked, Dr. Oddfellow’s Twisted Origins, Dueling Dragons: Choose Thy Fate, Yeti: Campground Kills, The Darkest Deal, and Bloodmoon: Dark Offerings. The houses are themed perfectly, you’ll feel as if you’re stepping into the story.

There are five scare zones, try getting across without screaming at least once! The themes are Dr. Oddfellow’s Collection of Horrors, Vamp ’69: Summer of Blood, Shipyard 32: Horrors Unhinged, Jungle of Doom: Expedition Horror, and Dark Zodiac.

There is a live show, Nightmare Fuel Revenge Dream. If you make your way to Diagon Alley, you might come across some Death Eaters. Several rides are open as well, and there are themed foods and merchandise.

Halloween Horror Nights takes place at Universal Orlando Resort, not at Islands of Adventure. It is a separate ticketed event, and there are different options for Frequent Fear Passes if you’d like to go more than once. You can also purchase Express Pass so you can skip the standby line, the Wait Times for the houses can be pretty long.

Halloween Horror Nights runs on select nights from September 1 through November 4. It is not recommended for children under 13 years of age, although you will see younger kids there. You can learn more information here.
