The Fourth of July is almost here, which means that people everywhere will want to watch fireworks! If you’re in the Orlando area but aren’t headed to Walt Disney World, there are plenty of other choices.
The town of Celebration is just a few minutes from Walt Disney World. It was designed by Disney Imagineers, and you’ll feel as if you’re walking down a street of yesteryear.
Celebration also knows how to celebrate! The Fourth of July this year will start with a good old fashioned parade. It will start at 9:00 in Town Center.
If you leave make sure you return that evening! The street party Celebration’s Independence Day Spectacular will begin at 5:00. There will be live music as well as a DJ. The fireworks will take place at 9:20. Celebration’s Independence Day Spectacular ends after the fireworks.
Street parking is free in Celebration, but be prepared to walk. You might also be able to get a close spot in a paid lot. Keep your eyes open for pedestrians, and remember that they have the right of way.
I’ve been to several events in Celebration, and they are very well done. I’m sure that this will be a blast. (That’s a fireworks pun.) You can see the Walt Disney World fireworks in some parts of the town, so you might get a double show!
Featured area fireworks include Walt Disney World, SeaWorld Orlando, Busch Gardens Tampa, Sunset Walk, Red Hot & Boom, Fireworks at the Fountain, Fun Spot, and Celebration, Florida.
