One of my favorite hidden gems at Walt Disney World is Disney PhotoPass Studio. It’s located in the Marketplace area of Disney Springs. You can have pictures taken with fun virtual backgrounds, and you can also do portraits. Disney PhotoPass Studio is free to use, no appointment is needed. If you have Memory Maker or the PhotoPass extra with an Annual Pass, there’s no additional charge for the photos! Disney PhotoPass Studio is now even better! Here’s the latest from Disney Parks Blog.

The Best Disney Springs Photo Spot Just Got Better

by Emily Southard, Communications Specialist

In my opinion, the most underrated photo spot at Walt Disney World Resort is the Disney PhotoPass Studio at Disney Springs. While this studio technically has two photo locations, the options of what you can capture go far beyond that.

Today I want to share an exciting update about this studio: Rather than keeping the classic gray backdrop year-round, the portrait side of the studio is now going to be updated throughout the year to match the season! After a successful pilot last year of sets themed to fall and winter, this side of the studio will be updated throughout 2023 with different sets and props so you can enjoy a different photo experience each season you stop by. Visit today to enjoy the Valentine’s Day set, which is shown in the photo below.

During your visit, you can also capture photos with virtual backdrops on the other side of the studio. There are so many options, and we’re always creating new virtual backdrops for you to enjoy.

Next time you’re at Disney Springs, check it out. The studio is open daily from 11 a.m. – 9 p.m. No reservations are required to visit, and it’s a fun way to spend a bit of time with a photographer. Plus, if you have Memory Maker or Memory Maker One Day, the photos you capture here are included with your entitlement.

Want more studio time? Visit our other Disney PhotoPass Studios located at the following locations:

  • The second floor of Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa
  • Sir Mickey’s in Fantasyland at Magic Kingdom Park
  • NEW! The Wandering Reindeer in the Norway pavilion at EPCOT

No reservations are required, and all are welcome to capture photos inside these studios. Tip: Ask for Magic Shots when you visit. There are some really fun ones available, some that you can’t capture anywhere else.
