Sunday Savings Series: Island H2O Live! (Again)

Live Lagoon Wave Pool at Island H2O Live!

I’ve mentioned Island H2O Live! on a Sunday before, but that was when the water park first opened. It was also before COVID. With the Orlando area heating up, I thought that this might be a good time to mention it again.

Island H2O Live! is a water park that is located at Margaritaville’s Sunset Walk. It’s just minutes from Disney’s Animal Kingdom. From that side of Disney you could probably be at Island H2O Live! faster than Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon!

Pelican’s Paradise for the kids

The first place where you’ll save is on tickets. A one day Monday through Friday ticket to Island H2O Live! is currently $44.99 if you buy it online. The lowest adult price for the same ticket to Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon is $64. The Disney ticket is blocked out May 28 through October 2. If you want to go during that time, it’s $69.

If you’d like to visit Island H2O Live! on a weekend, the online price goes up slightly. It’s $59. Always check the online price, because tickets do cost more at the gate. Prices listed here do not include tax, and are subject to change.

Island H2O Live! has plenty of slides!

Another place where Island H2O Live! will help you to save is with Season Passes. You can currently purchase a Splash Pass online for $59.99! There are no blockout dates. That’s cheaper than the current Disney deal for Florida Residents, and that’s just a two day ticket. A Season Pass costs $79.99 online. That pass includes free parking and one free ticket for a friend. If you buy four or more Season Passes, the price drops to $69.99 each. Walt Disney World currently does not offer an Annual Pass exclusively for the water parks, you can purchase one only as an Annual Pass add-on. Most Annual Passes are still unavailable at Walt Disney World.

Of course, there are plenty of ways that the Disney water parks have Island H2O Live! beat. Theming immediately comes to mind, no one creates atmosphere like Disney! Parking to Typhoon Lagoon and Blizzard Beach (when it reopens) is free. Parking at Island H2O Live! is $10, unless you have a Season Pass. At least one of the Disney water parks is open 365 days a year, weather permitting. Island H2O Live! is open daily through August 14, but then goes to a limited schedule. The current calendar runs through Thanksgiving week, so I don’t know if they’ll be closed for the winter. They were last year.

If you’re visiting Walt Disney World and want to add the Water Park and Sports Option, go for it! That’s a great way to enjoy time in the water without leaving the Disney Bubble. It can be a great value. Not everyone visits that way, and I wanted to make you aware that there is an affordable water park that is close by. It’s also a lot of fun.
