Picking Up the Latest Passholder Magnet

Since my fridge is white I didn’t bother punching out the holes

There’s a new magnet available for Annual Passholders for no additional charge! A Virtual Queue is being used to get them, and since my daughter and I picked up ours a couple of days ago I thought I’d share how simple the process is.

You will pick up your magnet at Disney Springs. You need to be within 45 miles to join the queue. The first day there was a wait, but since then it doesn’t seem to be a problem. You can join the queue at 9:00 in the morning, and once you have been called you will have an hour to pick up your magnet. If any of the queues are filled it will open again at 1:00 and 5:00. We were there after 6:30 and had no problem getting our spot.

Choose Virtual Queues

Here are the steps in joining the Virtual Queue. Open the My Disney Experience App. From there, go to the three lines in the bottom right corner. That will take you to a page with a bunch of options, choose “Virtual Queues”. Next hit “Join Virtual Queue”. That will give you two choices, pick “Disney Springs”. Then it’s “Join Virtual Queue” again. Pick your party, everyone picking up a magnet must be there with you. Hit “Join Virtual Queue” yet again, hit “done”, and then wait to be called.

We didn’t join the Virtual Queue until we arrived at Disney Springs. It told us that we had a 15 minute wait, but we were called as we walked through Marketplace.

Here’s the map

You’ll pick up your magnet at Disney’s Wonderful World of Memories. It’s behind Disney’s Days of Christmas in the far back corner of Marketplace. There are signs once you get closer.

After you have been called and you’re close to the store, hit “View Entry Code” in the My Disney Experience App. (If you can’t find it, go back to where you first found the Virtual Queue.) You’ll then receive a QR code, which a Cast Member will scan outside of the store. Each member of your party will have a unique code. You’ll then enter the store, show another Cast Member your Annual Pass card and your ID, and you’ll receive your magnet!

If you don’t have the My Disney Experience App, you can still join the Virtual Queue. There are signs around Disney Springs with a QR Code that you can scan to get your place in line. I am not sure what happens if someone does not have a phone.

If you don’t have the My Disney Experience App, look for this sign!

There is something unique about the Passholder magnets this time. They are interactive! When you pick up your magnet you’ll receive a sheet with instructions on how to check it out. I’m not going to spoil the fun, at least not now.

This way!

So that’s it! It sounds like a complicated process, but it’s easy. The current magnet is available through March 30. I will not be surprised if it is busy that day, since it’s the last chance to pick them up. Magnets are available while supplies last, so get yours as soon as you can.

Remember, place your magnet on your car at your own risk. I’ve already heard several reports of the new magnets being stolen. My new magnet is safely on my fridge.
