Still No Garden Rocks Update

This is from 2019, TobyMac returns May 1 and 2 this year

Update: you can find the COMPLETE list here

We are just four days away from the first day of the Epcot International Flower & Garden Festival, and there is something that is missing. There are still plenty of holes in the Garden Rocks Concert Series lineup.

I’m not talking about just one or two artists missing. When you look at the list, there are four timeframes listed as TBA. This includes the last slots listed; June 24 and 25 and then June 26 and 27.

That itself is a little bit strange. The last date for Garden Rocks is June 27, while the Flower & Garden Festival runs until July 4. It’s not unprecedented for a concert series to end before a festival, that is usually because something else is about to take place in the America Gardens Theater. I haven’t heard of anything else coming in July.

The dates for the Epcot International Food & Wine Festival have not been released. There isn’t much information about it on the Walt Disney World website. Will it start early again this year, or will it become a fall festival like before the pandemic and the summer will be festival-less?

Before the pandemic, Guardians of the Galaxy Awesome Remix Live played on the stage during the summer months. With Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind coming this summer, could the show see a return?

Another thing that I’ve noticed is that the first two days of the festival do not have Garden Rocks concerts listed. Flower & Garden starts on March 2. The Guess Who is the first band listed, and they’ll play March 4 and 5. I will be surprised if this changes. It does take time to switch things over, and the final Disney on Broadway Concert Series show was just a few days ago.

There have been a couple of names added since the initial Garden Rocks list was released. CeCe Winans and Tommy DeCarlo were both added after the first announcement. I have a feeling that there will be more listed in the next few days.

I’m keeping the updated list of Garden Rocks artists pinned to the top of Disney Over 50 for now. I’ll also let you know as soon as I hear of any additions, as well as when I hear Food & Wine Festival news. I’m sure that Disney will make some announcements soon.
