A Special Ticket for Florida Residents (and What It Might Mean for Everyone)

Is Disney trying to fill the parks before this wall comes down?

A brand new summer ticket is now available to Florida Residents. It’s an incredible deal. It’s called the Get Your Ears On Ticket. Like the Summer One World Ticket, it is a only-one-entrance-to-each-park ticket. Florida Residents can buy a three day Get Your Ears On Ticket for $199, or a four day ticket and hit all four parks for $219. The tickets are good through August 28, and they have no block-out dates. If you’re a Florida resident and you’re interested, you can learn more or purchase your ticket here

There are two things that this ticket might mean. The first is for Florida Resident Annual Passholders who are currently under block-out dates. Sometimes Disney will lift the restriction on some of the dates during the summer. With a new, affordable option, that might not happen this year. This ticket will still give them a reason to go. Annual Passholders receive free theme park parking, even when their passes are blocked out. Passholders using a Get Your Ears on Ticket will still be eligible for discounts like merch and some dining within the parks, even on a block-out date.

The other thing that this ticket means affects everyone who is thinking about visiting Walt Disney World this summer. This is another sign that Disney expects lower than normal crowds for the next several weeks. A lot of people are waiting for Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge to open, so they are putting off their vacations. This new ticket option suggests that Disney is trying to lure people to Walt Disney World before August 29. For only $219, it just might work.
