Even more dates have been added for Disney After HoursMore dates have been added for Disney After Hours. The special ticketed event allows you and very few others three hours in the theme park after it has closed to the general public. It takes place at three of the parks, it is not available at Epcot.
At the Magic Kingdom, the additional dates are August 22 and 29, and also September 5, 12, 19, and 26. (These are not Disney Villains After Hours dates, which will take place select nights from June 6 through August 8.) At Disney’s Animal Kingdom the new dates are July 2, 8, 15, 22, and 29, plus August 5, 12, 19, and 26, and September 3, 9, 16, and 23. Disney’s Hollywood Studios has added July 5, 12, 19, and 26. It is interesting to note that no days have been added for after the opening of Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge.
Disney After Hours is a special ticketed event that I personally think is well worth the price. My daughter and I were hosted for events at Disney’s Animal Kingdom and Disney’s Hollywood Studios last year, and I was amazed by how much we were able to do!
With Disney After Hours, you can enter the park a couple of hours before it closes to the public. Then once the event starts, you will be in an almost empty park. Ice cream novelties (including Mickey Bars), popcorn, and bottled drinks are included in the price. The cost is $125 in advance, and $129 the day of, tax not included. That’s about the same price as a day at the parks, and I think you can get just as much done at Disney After Hours as you would a full park day. There is a $30 discount for Annual Passholders and Disney Vacation Club members.
