The 2019 Holidays Will Be More Festive at Disney’s Animal Kingdom

The holidays will be much brighter this year!

The holidays are my favorite time of year at Walt Disney World. The lights on Cinderella Castle, the Candlelight Processional, Sunset Seasons Greetings, the Gingerbread Houses, the Christmas Tree Trail; all of these put me in the holiday spirit. There was always one piece that was missing, though. Disney’s Animal Kingdom never lived up to what we could experience elsewhere at Walt Disney World.

This year, that is going to change. Disney Parks Blog has announced that this year the holidays will hit all of Disney’s Animal Kingdom’s lands. Discovery Island will be filled with decorations and luminaries. In Dinoland U.S.A., the characters at Donald’s Dino-Bash will have special decorations, and the dance party will have a holiday theme. Diwali will be celebrated in Asia. In Africa there will be themed decorations as well. Even Pandora will be celebrating. After all, there are some ex-pats “living” there, they don’t want to miss out on the holidays.

There will also be plenty of extra live entertainment at Disney’s Animal Kingdom throughout the Christmas season. This will include puppets, musicians, and other types of performances. There is also something special planned for the Tree of Life. It sounds like there will be plenty of holiday cheer all day and into the night.

The Christmas season always starts a bit on the early side at Walt Disney World. The new offerings are set to begin at Disney’s Animal Kingdom on November 8. These are going to be welcome additions to the park. This year the holidays will be more festive than ever.
