A couple of days ago I told you that the Haunted Mansion is now a PhotoPass ride, and that you might find a ghostly photobomb in your picture. The Haunted Mansion is the 13th PhotoPass attraction at Walt Disney World, and to celebrate there will be some special one day only experiences in Liberty Square at the Magic Kingdom.
On April 13, you will be able to take a picture near the Haunted Mansion exit with a sign that says “Tomb Sweet Tomb”. This will also be the location of a special animated Magic Shot. These two experiences will start at 9:00, and will be available only during the daylight hours.
The hearse near the Haunted Mansion will be another great place for a Magic Shot. You will be able to get a picture with the Hitchhiking Ghosts! There will be another PhotoPass Photographer near the entrance to Liberty Square Riverboat. At this location the Magic Shot will be your head inside the Hatbox Ghost’s hatbox. These two locations will open at 9:00, and will remain open until the park closes.
Once the evening comes head over to Memento Mori and look for the PhotoPass Photographer. This Magic Shot will feature glowing orbs. Also in the evening, you can take a picture holding the caretaker’s lantern near the Haunted Mansion exit. The Cadaver Dans are also going to be around after dark.
While you’re at Memento Mori, you might want to consider purchasing the special picture of yourself that changes from a regular photo to one that shows a more ghostly image. The cost is $13.13, and the picture is 8 inches by 10 inches.
If you get hungry while you’re there, consider trying the Midnight Fright Delight “browkie”. It’s a brownie that is frosted to recreate the famous clock that strikes 13 inside the Haunted Mansion.
Make sure that you have Memory Maker in order to enjoy all of these extras! If you do, all of the Magic Shots and other PhotoPass photos will be included. If you don’t want Memory Maker for your entire vacation, there is a one day option available for $69.
