A couple of weeks ago I told you about the rumor of how FastPass+ could work once Toy Story Land opens on June 30. Those rumors have pretty much turned into a reality, as they have been confirmed by Disney Parks Blog.
Starting on June 30, guests will be able to use FastPass+ for the new rides in Toy Story Land. That means that the 60 day mark for guests staying at a Walt Disney World resort will be May 1. The 30 day mark for those who aren’t staying on property will be May 31, but I highly doubt that there will be much available by then.
The new Tier One structure for Disney’s Hollywood Studios will be the three rides in Toy Story Land. They are Slinky Dog Dash, Alien Swirling Saucers, and Toy Story Mania! The rest of the FastPass+ choices will be Tier Two.
Outside of Toy Story Land, there are three actual rides at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. They are Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring Aerosmith, The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror, and Star Tours – The Adventures Continue. The rest of the choices are shows, or Muppet*Vision 3D. These should be what the new Tier Two consists of.
Remember, you are allowed to make one FastPass+ choice from Tier One and two from Tier Two. After you have used all three of your selections you can add another choice it there is anything available.
Another announcement concerning Toy Story Land is that Disney’s Hollywood Studios will have expanded hours daily, starting on July 1. The park will be open 8:00am-10:30pm. The end date for the extended hours has not been announced, but on the Walt Disney World website the last day of the extended hours is listed as Saturday, August 25. Those staying at a Walt Disney World Resort hotel will be able to enjoy a morning Extra Magic Hour daily during that time period, and two evening hours on Fridays. Park hours, including Extra Magic Hours, can change at any time, at Disney’s discretion.
