I just shared some good news about the EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival. Unfortunately, I have some sad news to share about another popular autumn event at Walt Disney World.
The 2020 version of Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party has been canceled. Disney has stated that since they would not be able to offer the parade, the stage show, and the fireworks, guests would not receive the full experience. While this is sad, it’s probably the right thing to do. No decision has yet been made about Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party.
Another special ticketed event has also been canceled. Disney H2O Glow Nights will not take place at Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon Water Park. They were to be held on select nights through the end of August.
Guests with tickets to either event will be able to receive refunds, although the refund process was not yet announced. I doubt that guests will be allowed to exchange tickets for a theme park pass, since ticket sales are currently paused. If you try to call Walt Disney World about a refund, please be patient. With the number of people affected by this, there will most likely be a fairly long hold time.
