No one does the holidays quite like Walt Disney World, but it is not the only game in town! Over the next few days I hope to share with you a few of the other local seasonal offerings. I’ll also mix in some Walt Disney World information, because this is going to be a big week!
Busch Gardens Tampa may be a little bit out of the way, but it’s definitely worth the trip, especially if you’re visiting during the holidays. With Christmas Town, the entire park is filled with holiday joy! There are several special shows that you can enjoy. There is a Christmas Village if you’d like to do some of your holiday shopping. There are plenty of treats for sale. There are so many lights that you will wonder what the electric bill is. Each area of the park has a different theme. For Christmas Town the train receives a holiday makeover.
Like SeaWorld Orlando, there are two meet and greets that you will want to visit. You can meet Santa in his house. Rudolph and friends also greet at Busch Gardens Tampa. They can be found in Rudolph’s Winter Wonderland.
While you might be in awe of all the holiday offerings during Christmas Town, don’t forget that you are also at an incredible theme park. Coaster fans will have the time of their lives. Kids will want to spend plenty of time in Sesame Street Safari of Fun. During the day the animal encounters are open. There are also daytime shows.
Christmas Town takes place until January 6, 2020, and is included with your park admission. On New Year’s Eve there is a special fireworks show. My family and I have attended that a couple of times and it is amazing. Three Kings Celebration will be held January 4-6, 2020. While Busch Gardens is about an hour or so from Walt Disney World, depending on traffic, it is worth checking out, especially at this time of year!
