Karaoke!

Believe it or not, I’ve been asked from time to time if there is a place at Walt Disney World where karaoke lovers can go. The answer has always been that you could head to Kimonos Lounge at the Walt Disney World Swan Hotel, and that was about it. The problem with that is that the Swan is not really all that easy to get to if you don’t have a car. Even with a car, the resort is not owned by Disney, so there is a fee to park. It’s still worth it, but it is not the most convenient location.

I am pleased to announce that there is now a second karaoke option, and it is much easier to get to. Stargazers Bar is located at Planet Hollywood at Disney Springs. Currently karaoke is being offered on Friday evenings. Who knows, if it is successful, they may expand.

If you haven’t been to Stargazers Bar, I recommend stopping by at some point on your trip. Make sure that it is after dark, because the view is amazing. There are brand new appetizers that you’ll want to try, and Stargazers Bar has an extensive drink selection. There are local craft beers, and plenty of specialty cocktails that will help you to calm your nerves before you perform.

As I said, right now karaoke is held on Friday evenings. The fun takes place from 8:00 until midnight. Reservations are not required. If you decide to give it a try, drop me a line and let me know how it went!
