One More Christmas Week Must-Do

I’ve been telling you the past few days some of the things that I think that you need to check out if you’re at Walt Disney World this busy holiday week. I’ve mentioned Magic Kingdom, Epcot, Disney’s Hollywood Studios, and Disney Springs. I have one more suggestion. If you’re looking for a break, spend some time resort hopping.

The monorail loop is a must-do

There are two main groups of resorts that you should check out. The monorail loop contains Disney’s Contemporary Resort, Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort, and Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort. Just hop on the monorail, and visit each lobby. You’ll have to go through security a few times, but it’s worth it. The resort decorations are incredible.

The other loop that you need to check out is found in the Epcot Resort Area. Around Crescent Lake you can visit Disney’s BoardWalk Inn, Disney’s Beach Club Resort, Disney’s Yacht Club Resort, and the Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin Hotels. You can walk, or, if you have time, take a Friendship.

The trees make great spots for pictures

One thing that I love about the resort decorations is that there are so many spots for great pictures. The Christmas trees make a beautiful backdrop, no matter which resort you’re visiting. Sometimes there will be a visit from a character, but I’m pretty sure that those usually take place before Christmas. Keep it in mind for next year.

Don’t forget the Swan and Dolphin!

Resort hopping is fun at any time of year, but it is essential during the Christmas season. Plan to make a day of it, and enjoy lunch or dinner at one of the resorts. The food is great, and you can get away from the theme park crowds for a while. My family and I went resort hopping on Christmas Day, and we had a great time.
