I’ll admit that I don’t really know too much about Disney Jr. these days. I’m familiar with the names of some of the characters, but that’s about it. The truth is that most days, I would probably have skipped Disney Jr. Mickey Mouse Clubhouse Live!. But it was hot, the theater was air conditioned, I was exploring Animation Courtyard, and the show was in soft openings, so I figured, why not?
I’m glad that I didn’t skip Disney Jr. Mickey Mouse Clubhouse Live!, it’s a really cute show. What astonished me was the energy of the cast. It features five of your favorite characters and a jack-of-all-trades DJ. They all know how to dance! There are also a few good jokes.
The premise is simple; Mickey and Minnie are getting ready for a party, but the other guests aren’t there. They decide to look for them. There are bubbles and snoap along the way. I’m not going to give more details because I don’t want to spoil too much.
Disney Jr. Mickey Mouse Clubhouse Live! is definitely made with kids in mind. Most of the seating is on the floor, although there are a few benches in the back. Kids are encouraged to sing and dance with Mickey and his friends. They sure did like the bubbles!
For most people without younglings, Disney Jr. Mickey Mouse Clubhouse Live! isn’t going to be must-do. But it’s nice that there is a show that is designed for the smaller crowd. There are so many height restrictions at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, this is something that was created with preschoolers in mind.
That said, I’m glad that I went, even without any kids in tow! I’m sure that I’ll be back. Disney Jr. Mickey Mouse Clubhouse Live! offers fun entertainment, classic characters, and air conditioning. I recommend that you check it out when you’re at Disney’s Hollywood Studios.
