Guardians of the Galaxy – Awesome Mix Live! at Epcot

Incredible Summer at Walt Disney World continues. At Epcot, the special fun comes in the form of a Guardians of the Galaxy themed show. In Guardians of the Galaxy – Awesome Mix Live!, an alien band from Xandar wants to perform on Earth, but their musical knowledge of the planet is lacking. Peter Quill, aka Star-Lord, is more than happy to help them out. Gamora watches on, all the while wanting to get back to the ship. Baby Groot makes a few appearances on the screen in the back and serves as the DJ.

Guardians of the Galaxy – Awesome Mix Live! is a fun show that has little to do with Guardians of the Galaxy. The band is really a cover band, and the songs that are performed are all tracks that you would expect to find on Peter Quill’s playlist. The cast all seems to be having a blast. Try to watch the interaction between Star-Lord and Gamora during the songs. The performers match the characters’ personalities from the movies perfectly.

Guardians of the Galaxy – Awesome Mix Live! runs daily through August 19. Most days the shows are at 1:30, 2:30, 5:30, 6:45, and 8:00. There will be a different schedule for the Fourth of July, and times are subject to change on other days as well. Guardians of the Galaxy – Awesome Mix Live! takes place in the America Gardens Theater, which is in the American Adventure Pavilion. If you’re a fan of Guardians of the Galaxy, like cover songs, or just want a chance to sit down for 20 minutes or so, you should check it out.
