I just saw a post in a Facebook group that bothered me. The person was complaining that people kept asking so many “stupid questions”. People should not be intimidated to ask a question in a Facebook group!
I don’t care if the question has been asked before, we all have different levels of Disney knowledge. I live near Walt Disney World and go all the time. There are things that I know that I assume that others should know as well. There are many people who have no idea that there are four theme parks at Walt Disney World! They think it’s just the Magic Kingdom. There is nothing wrong with that. It’s not like we’re born with this knowledge.
Planning a first trip to Walt Disney World is overwhelming. There are going to be lots of questions. A vacation is supposed to offer you a chance to get rid of stress, but planning can be stressful. No one should be shamed on Facebook or elsewhere for having questions about something that they have never done before.
A few years ago my family and I took a trip to Mexico through my husband’s work. It amazed me how little I knew! I did a lot of research, and I wasn’t afraid to ask questions. We continued to ask a lot while we were at the resort. I’m sure that some of the questions seemed “stupid” to the people I asked them to, but I was always greeted with a smile. That’s how it should be.
I don’t want anyone here to ever feel as if they can’t ask questions. I have a pretty good knowledge of Walt Disney World, and I also know a fair amount about Disneyland and Disney Cruise Line. I’ll admit that my knowledge of the overseas Disney parks is a bit lacking, but I’m good at research. If you ever have a question, please don’t hesitate to ask. I will not think that it’s stupid.
