Ten Second Tip: Making Promises

Moments like this may or may not happen on your vacation…

I’ve seen a lot of panic lately over promises made that can’t be kept. Things like, “I promised my grandchildren that they will meet Mary Poppins, but now we can’t find her!” or “I promised my family that we would face the First Order, but Rise of the Resistance has been down all day!” Don’t make promises, especially if there are young children in your traveling party. Promising the kids that they’ll meet Mary Poppins is going to make them focus on finding her, and not on all the other magic around them. As far as rides go, they break down or are closed for refurbishment. Let everyone, especially the kids, know that you may not see every character and ride every ride. Manage expectations ahead of time.
