If you purchase a Dining Package at Epcot, you are guaranteed a seat for the show. That doesn’t mean you’ll be right in front. This isn’t like Lightning Lane where you can show up at your time and supposedly walk right in. The Dining Package line will start to form early, especially for the more popular artists. My daughter and I recently arrived almost 90 minutes before the show, and there was already a fairly long Dining Package line. You’re not going to walk in right before a performance starts and have your choice of close seats.
