Ten Second Tip: One More Thought About the Magic Kingdom Bear

“Bear” with me for one final thought…

I would like to commend the Cast Members and the Florida Fish & Wildlife Conservation Commission on a job well done regarding the Magic Kingdom bear. Normally when a bear is spotted in a tree close by, the area will be blocked off until the bear comes down on its own. That wasn’t possible in Frontierland, so the female bear was tranquilized and removed. She will now live her best life in or near Ocala National Forest. I had a lot of fun on Facebook and Instagram with the Magic Kingdom bear, but it could have been a serious situation. Bears are more common in Central Florida than you might think, and they are sometimes spotted in residential areas. I’m honestly surprised that there haven’t been more bears wandering into the Walt Disney World theme parks, since so much of the area surrounding them is wooded.
