Transportation & Ticket Center Fireworks

What a view!

I have a new favorite place to watch Happily Ever After outside of the Magic Kingdom. Okay, it’s still not as good as California Grill, but this doesn’t require a reservation! If I’m not in the Magic Kingdom but I want to watch Happily Ever After, I’ll head to outside the ferry launch at the Transportation & Ticket Center.

You’ll see the whole picture

It was kind of a fluke that I discovered how much I like this spot. One recent evening I planned to watch from the beach at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort, but it was so crowded! I had arrived early, but there were still no good spots. I decided to walk to see if I could find a less crowded area. When I walked as far as the path to the Transportation & Ticket Center, I decided to just keep going.

You don’t realize how high the fireworks go when you’re closer!

I was surprised by how uncrowded it was! If you have a clear view of Cinderella Castle, you’ll be able to see the fireworks. Disney plays the soundtrack near the ferry launch, but it isn’t blasted. You’ll still be able to hear it and follow along. I’ve added a couple of videos on Facebook and Instagram if you want to get an idea of what it’s like.

You won’t see Tinkerbell fly, but you’ll see most of the show

If you’ve never seen Happily Ever After, watch from Main Street, U.S.A. There’s nothing like it! That said, if you aren’t in the Magic Kingdom, or you want to avoid the crowd leaving after the fireworks, the Transportation & Ticket Center is a great place to watch from. An added bonus is that I was already near my car, so I was on my way home just a few minutes later! Next time I’m at the Magic Kingdom and want to avoid the Happily Ever After crowd, I know where I’ll watch from.
