More Characters Are Returning!!!

Any excuse to use this photo again…

I don’t care how old anyone is, characters are a fun part of any Walt Disney World vacation. As much as I have loved character sightings (and hope that some continue) I really enjoy the actual meet and greets. It is also exciting to see a favorite character in a parade or cavalcade. Characters can make a great day even better.

We’re about to see more characters at Walt Disney World! I’ll start at the Magic Kingdom. I’ve been asked more than once if there is a place to see Mirabel from Encanto. On June 26 she will join the Disney Adventure Friends Cavalcade! Check the My Disney Experience App for times. The cavalcade runs the same route as the parade.

More Magic Kingdom character news; on July 6 Minnie will join her beau in Town Square Theater. It’s unclear if the mouse couple will greet together or in two separate lines, but my guess would be together. July 10 will see the return of both Peter Pan and Snow White in Fantasyland.

Pete’s Silly Sideshow is set to open sometime in the coming months, and we’ve also been promised more characters such as Winnie the Pooh and Aladdin. No dates were given for these returns.

At Disney’s Hollywood Studios, Star Wars Launch Bay will reopen on July 17! That means more Chewbacca hugs, as well as greetings with Darth Vader and BB-8. There are three separate lines in Launch Bay, which means three times the fun. Also at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, in the coming months the toys will return to Toy Story Land, although we don’t yet know when.

Another return without a date will take place at Disney’s Animal Kingdom. Donald’s Dino-Bash will return in the coming months! This was such a great place to meet characters in some unique costumes, you’re sure to have a blast!

If you’re looking for some character fun outside of the theme parks, Chip ‘N Dale’s Campfire Sing-A-Long at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground will return on July 6. This is free to attend, although I’m not sure what will happen as far as parking is concerned. You can use Disney transportation if you’re worried about parking. Chip ‘N Dale’s Campfire Sing-A-Long is held weather permitting.

It’s nice to see so many returns on the horizon. A hug from a favorite character can be magical!
