Sunday Savings Series: If You’re at Walt Disney World From Now Until January 3…

There’s been a temporary change…

I’m not sure if this tip will save you time or money, but I’m going to include it as part of my Sunday Savings Series, just in case. I guess that it could save you a little bit of both if you decide to take advantage of it.

From now until the end of 2021 will be the busiest time at Walt Disney World since the parks reopened. Any chance to wait in one less line can be a win. That is what Disney Genie+ and Individual Lightning Lanes are all about. You can pay for the ability to skip the Standby Line and instead use the former FastPass+ line.

Each of the four Walt Disney World theme parks has two attractions that are Individual Lightning Lanes. You can purchase a ride time for that ride without purchasing Disney Genie+. Except for now.

Until January 3, 2022, one ride from each of the theme parks that is normally offered as an Individual Lightning Lane ride has been moved to Disney Genie+. That means that if you purchase the service for $15 per person, per day, you don’t have to pay the additional fee.

The rides that have been temporarily moved to Disney Genie+ are Space Mountain, Frozen Ever After, Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway, and Expedition Everest. The other four choices will still cost extra.

I’m not sure if this is a good thing or a bad thing, I just wanted to make you aware. It could potentially save you some time and some money.
