Some Tips for Space 220 Restaurant

You never know who you’ll see!

Space 220 Restaurant is open at Epcot, and it truly is out of this world. I was privileged to be part of the media preview. I’d like to give you a couple of tips for this exceptional new restaurant.

This is where the restaurant is “located”

I’ll start with reservations. They went fast! I’ve already seen a lot of people on various Facebook pages with reservations saying that they were going to cancel them. Don’t give up. I think a lot of people made reservations because they could, without checking to see if it would work for them. Spots are going to open, just like any other hard-to-get reservations.

The lounge is everything to the right of the railing

Can’t get a reservation for Space 220 Restaurant? There is also a lounge. This could be a good choice. There is a separate lounge menu, but you can order from the prix fixe menu in the lounge. The lounge takes up a good part of the restaurant, so this could be a good option.

Terra-Bolognese

If you do have a reservation, keep in mind that it is prix fixe. You can’t only order appetizers and a drink. The lunch price includes an appetizer and an entree. For dinner, dessert is also included, which is why it costs more. Cocktails and Satellite Sides cost extra.

Lightyear Lemonade

Try something different! This is not a cheap meal, so be willing to splurge a bit extra. There are some creative cocktails, both with and without alcohol. Order one, they’re fun and delicious. The mocktails aren’t just for kids.

I was told that this is a shuttle from Mission: SPACE

Pay attention! The windows are part of the fun, and you never know what you might see. Someone told me that there was even an X-wing fighter. I wish I had seen that one!

Sign in the restroom

Use the restroom, and listen to the announcements in there. Trust me on this one.

The trip back to Florida

Is Space 220 Restaurant worth the cost? Only you can decide. The food was excellent, and the atmosphere is the most creative of any Walt Disney World restaurant. Still, if your budget is tight, it’s probably better to skip it. I plan to go back at some point, but it will be for a special occasion.
