A Summer Ticket Deal for Florida Residents

This deal is magical!

There are plenty of great reasons to live in the Sunshine State, and some of the best are the Florida Resident discounts that are available. At Walt Disney World you can save on Annual Passes, hotels, and sometimes merchandise. There are also special ticket deals from time to time. One of these was recently released.

The deal is called Florida Summer Fun Tickets. You can purchase a four day pass that is good through September 17. You do not need to use up all of the days within a certain timeframe once you have scanned the first one. The price for a Florida Summer Ticket is just $215! That comes out to about $54 a day. The price does not include tax.

If you’re not looking for four days of fun, you can purchase a three day ticket. That costs $185. The two day ticket is $150. Those amounts are also before tax. Even though they cost a little bit more, those are great prices. At around $62 and $75 a day, that’s quite a savings.

Park Hopper is not included, but you can add it for an extra $35 per person. The Water Park and Sports Option costs an additional $30, and the Park Hopper Plus Option is an additional $50 per person. Again, prices do not include tax.

There are several levels of Annual Passes that are available to only Florida Residents. Many of them have blockout dates. Florida Summer Tickets will allow Passholders who are blocked out to visit Walt Disney World when they wouldn’t be able to go otherwise. Since all levels of Annual Passes include parking, that wouldn’t be an extra expense.

This is also a great deal for a Florida family who has been considering visiting, but has put off buying tickets. It also works for people who want to visit the parks, but don’t have (or possibly want) an Annual Pass. AP sales are still on hold, and this will allow many people to visit who don’t want to pay full price.

Don’t forget that you will still need a Disney Park Pass reservation in order to enter a theme park! Having a ticket will not guarantee entry if there are no reservations available.

Proof of Florida Residency is required for anyone over the age of 18. I hear it all the time, someone will think that they can purchase tickets for friends who live out of state and then “trick” the Cast Members. Disney has heard it all before, no one is going to be able to come up with a scheme that will allow non-residents to enter for the cheaper price.
