July 15!

The Taste of Epcot International Flower & Garden Festival will run this year through July 5, but we won’t be without a festival for very long. We have learned from Disney Parks Blog that the Epcot International Food & Wine Festival will begin on July 15! It will run all the way until November 20, which should be right before Festival of the Holidays begins.

What is interesting to me is that for the first time since reopening, the word “Taste” is not being used to describe the festival. I don’t know how significant that is. My first thought is the Eat to the Beat concerts, but there is no mention of them in the post. Instead, the entertainment that we’ve been enjoying since the parks reopened is mentioned.

I’m adding the post below. There aren’t all that many details so far, but a lot can change between now and the middle of July. These dates are going to be good for people who can only visit during the summer so they’ve never been to the Food & Wine Festival before. If you want to extend your vacation, you could potentially enjoy both the Flower & Garden Festival and the Food & Wine Festival during the same trip. That has not been possible in the past!

Who’s Hungry? The EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival Begins July 15!

by Jeremy Schoolfield, Managing Editor, Walt Disney World Resort Public Relations

Start whetting your appetites, because the EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival begins July 15 at Walt Disney World Resort!

This year’s event will kick off with Global Marketplaces, including the return of many favorites – Canada, Greece, Germany, Hops and Barley, Appleseed Orchard and others. Even more marketplaces will join the international smorgasbord as the festival continues on into the fall before wrapping on Nov. 20.

There will be lots of ways for families to enjoy this year’s event (beyond just eating lots of great food, of course):

  • Sample all sorts of delicious cheeses served in fun ways as part of Emile’s Fromage Montage – if you collect a stamp from five different Global Marketplaces, you’ll earn a prize!
  • Remy’s Ratatouille Hide & Squeak will send you on a savory scavenger hunt in search of Remy statuettes hidden all over the park.
  • Take a tasty souvenir home from the new merchandise collections, including a festival collection featuring a spirit jersey, baseball cap and so much more.
  • Listen to musical favorites performed by Voices of Liberty, Mariachi Cobre and the Jammin’ Chefs.

This is just an appetizer for the 2021 EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival. We’ll have a full plate of details to share soon, so keep checking back with us here on the Disney Parks Blog for more juicy morsels.
