So what are YOU doing on January 17

January 17 is going to be a day to remember at Epcot! Several important things will debut that day. It will also be the first day of the 2020 edition of Epcot’s newest festival.

I’ll start in France. Impressions de France has been closed for refurbishment for a while now. It will open once again on January 17, but that will not be all. Beauty and the Beast Sing-Along will make its debut that day. The new film tells the story of who the real hero of the classic story is. Several of the original actors are featured, and some of the original animators worked on the project. I’ve seen it, it’s a lot of fun. Impressions de France and Beauty and the Beast Sing-Along will rotate throughout the day, so make plans to see both.

Another recent closure was O Canada! A new film, Canada Far and Wide in Circle-Vision 360 will take its place on January 17. The new film promises to feature beautiful views of our neighbor to the north.

A third film will also debut on January 17. Awesome Planet will be shown in the Land Pavilion. This film will last about ten minutes, and will feature the music of award winning composer Steven Price.

Of course we can’t forget about the Epcot International Festival of the Holidays. That will run this year from January 17 until February 24. The festival celebrates the arts in many different forms. It has grown each year, and it also has become better over time. If you haven’t yet visited the Epcot International Festival of the Arts, make this your year.
