Christmas Services at Walt Disney World

Make sure you check out the decorations as well

Christmas is one of the most popular times of year to visit Walt Disney World. Schools and offices are closed, and the weather is probably much better than the weather where you live. Christmas is also one of the holiest days of the year for many Christians, and vacation does not mean that they can skip a service that celebrates the birth of the Messiah. Walt Disney World of course will make it possible for you to do both.

There are three services that will be held at Walt Disney World on Christmas morning. There will be two Catholic Masses; one at 8:00 and the other at 10:30. In between them there is a Protestant service. That will take place at 9:15. All of the services are held at Disney’s Contemporary Resort, in the Fantasia Ballroom.

While you do not need to be staying at Disney’s Contemporary Resort in order to attend a service, you do need to be staying there if you want to park there. If you are driving, park at the Transportation & Ticket Center. You should then take the Resort Monorail to Disney’s Contemporary.

If you are staying on property, take a resort bus to the Magic Kingdom. You can then easily walk to the Contemporary. The walk is probably five minutes or less. If you have kids with you, take them by the hand because you will be crossing traffic to get to the resort.

No matter how you plan to get there, give yourself plenty of time. It will take twice as long to get there as it would on normal days. As always, it is not a bad idea to double check at the front desk, just in case the times of changed. If you are interested in finding a church that is off property, they can help with that at your hotel as well.
