Whenever there is a disaster of any type, there are scammers in the wings, waiting to steal your good intentions. Fake charities and Go Fund Me accounts are all too common. If you want to make sure your money goes to actually help people, check the website for a local television station. Usually they will have links to reputable charities, and your money will go where it is most needed.
