I’ve been telling you for a while now about a new transportation system that is coming to Walt Disney World. It’s called the Disney Skyliner, and it will use colorful gondolas to transport guests to several different places at Walt Disney World. The number one question that people have asked about the Skyliner is when it is going to open. We finally have an answer. Although it’s not an exact date, we at least know the season. Disney Skyliner will open next fall.

Next fall there will be gondolas on these towers

Disney Skyliner will stop at four different resorts; Disney’s Art of Animation Resort, Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort, Disney’s Pop Century Resort, and the not yet open Disney’s Riviera Resort. It will transport guests to both Epcot and Disney’s Hollywood Studios. It promises a new view of Walt Disney World.

The basics of the Disney Skyliner

I’ve been fascinated with the construction of the Disney Skyliner, and may have taken one or two pictures of the construction. I have been amazed by how quickly things have changed! It is exciting to know when we will see the gondolas traveling overhead.

Of course, the Disney Skyliner is not the only thing that is coming to Walt Disney World in the fall of 2019. Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge is slated to open late fall of next year. That means that the Skyliner will be up and running by then. All of the kinks will have been worked out by the time the new land opens. Next fall is going to be an exciting time at Walt Disney World.
