Disneyland Paris Has Closed Again

There’s sad news from overseas. Disneyland Paris had closed temporarily once again. They closed  at the end of the day yesterday, October 29. This is not because there has been an outbreak of COVID-19 traced back to the park. Instead, the French government is ordering a strict shutdown. Bars and restaurants will remain closed until at least early December, and travel will be limited.

Disneyland Paris is still taking reservations for December 19-January 3, hoping that they will be able to celebrate the Christmas Season. If it does reopen for those dates, it will close again on January 4, and will remain closed through February 12.

This does not affect Walt Disney World, but it does serve as a warning. We need to keep following the guidelines that have been released by the CDC. Disney has proven that they can do what is needed to keep guests safe, but we all need to do our part as well. In the announcement that was held in California about not letting the large theme parks reopen, it was stated that the parks that they had visited had done a good job of following guidelines, it was guest compliance that was the problem. Numbers are rising again in Florida. We need to continue to take this seriously.
