The Perfect Getaway

When most people think of Walt Disney World, they picture a fantastic place for families. Of course it has earned that reputation, Orlando is the top family vacation destination in the country. That does not mean that you should skip Walt Disney World if there are no kids in your travel group. I think it’s the perfect getaway. Here’s why.

Let’s start with the theme parks. There’s a little bit of everything for anyone. You can become part of a story that you’ve known since you were a child. You can pick your level of thrills. You can learn about different cultures, and feel like you are walking the streets of a faraway land. You can watch world class entertainment. So many people think that Walt Disney World is all about the rides, but there’s much more to it than that.

If you’re a foodie, then Walt Disney World is a must-visit destination. Where else can you try so many different types of cuisines in less than 50 square miles? There are restaurants with creations by celebrity chefs, and there are some impressive wine lists. If you follow a special diet, that’s not a problem. I’ve known people with food allergies who have said that Walt Disney World is the only place where they feel safe eating out. The chefs and staffs are extremely accommodating. There are also some pretty impressive fine dining experiences at Walt Disney World. Victoria & Albert’s has been ranked as one of the best restaurants in the country! It’s a destination in and of itself.

When looking for a place to stay to escape reality, there’s no better choice than a Walt Disney World Resort hotel. Think about staying at a Deluxe Resort. The rooms are large, the themes are great, and there are some fantastic perks. The pools at the Deluxe Resorts are remarkable. There are views available that you will never forget.

If you’re looking to relax, Walt Disney World can help. There are world class spas on property that you can enjoy if you’re wanting to pamper yourself. There are also fitness centers and jogging trails. A Walt Disney World getaway does not need to be all rushing from one ride to another. There is nothing wrong with planning some down time.

One of the things that I hate about traveling is trying to figure out roads that I am not used to. If you stay at a Walt Disney World Resort hotel for a getaway, that doesn’t have to be a problem. If you fly into Orlando International Airport you can take advantage of Disney’s Magical Express. You’ll be picked up at the airport, and then receive a ride back once your getaway is over. The best part is that it is included at no extra charge! Even if you don’t fly, you don’t have to navigate the roads at Walt Disney World. Disney transportation will get you where you need to go.

Getaways should include fireworks, and at Walt Disney World you can see some of the best. The only theme park that doesn’t have fireworks is Disney’s Animal Kingdom. You don’t need to be in a theme park to enjoy them. You can see the fireworks from the Magic Kingdom in the Magic Kingdom Resort Area, and the fireworks from both Epcot and Disney’s Hollywood Studios can be seen from the Epcot Resort Area.

These are just a few reasons why Walt Disney World is the perfect place to visit if you need a getaway. Whether you plan to stay for a weekend or your getaway will last much longer, you are sure to have the time of your life.
