If you drive to Disney’s Animal Kingdom and park in Peacock or Butterfly, please keep your eyes open for pedestrians. From those lots, it can be easier to walk to the park’s entrance than to take the tram. There are cones to remind drivers to yield to pedestrians in the crosswalks. The problem is that there are no real crosswalks! I’m always careful when I cross, but I’ve still almost been hit several times by drivers who weren’t paying attention. Please, keep your eyes on the road and keep your speed down. I’m honestly surprised that there hasn’t been a serious pedestrian accident in the parking lot at Disney’s Animal Kingdom.
