Tickets for special ticketed events often go on sale for Disney Resort guests before the general public. One thing that some people don’t realize is that you need to have a resort reservation for the date that you plan to attend the event. For example, you can’t buy a presale ticket for Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party for December 10 if you’re checking out on December 9. Also, presales are open only to those staying at Disney owned resorts, Swan and Dolphin, or Shades of Green. Good Neighbor Hotels are not included.
