GEO-82 is the new lounge at Epcot that opened in June. It’s located inside the Spaceship Earth building, but not in the globe itself. If you’re facing Spaceship Earth from the Walt the Dreamer statue, it’s the area on the back.

One thing that is unique about GEO-82 is that it’s strictly for those 21 and up. You’ll be carded, even if you’re part of the Disney Over 50 crowd. Have your ID ready. Children are not allowed, not even babies in strollers.

The entrance to GEO-82 isn’t well marked. Head into the Project Tomorrow entrance/exit that’s on the right side as you enter the park. If you can’t find it, just ask a Cast Member. You won’t be the first person to ask.

Once inside, you’ll show your ID, head upstairs, and check in, in some order. There’s a small waiting area with some fun pictures. It’s pretty and very relaxed.

The actual lounge is fairly small. There’s a bar at the front, and then tables throughout. If you’re lucky enough to get a table by the window, enjoy the view! You’ll look out on World Celebration and into World Showcase.

The atmosphere in GEO-82 is fantastic. I especially like the light fixtures, they really feel like they belong in Spaceship Earth.

Even though your reservation for GEO-82 is for lunch or dinner, it isn’t a place for a meal. There are a few small plates, but it’s definitely a lounge.

My daughter and I ordered the two Zero Proof Cocktails on the menu. She had A Walk Through the Garden, which was very similar to lemonade. I ordered Manhattan in the Morning. Although the description says it contains Joffre’s Coffee Cold Brew, the main flavor that I detected was cherry. I enjoyed the drink, but I don’t think that either one was worth the $17 price tag.

We also ordered the Cannellini Hummus to split. Sean, our server, was excellent. We needed to make one modification, and he took good care of us. The hummus was fantastic, this is a dish that I wouldn’t mind having again.

GEO-82 does offer the GEO-82 Fireworks Experience. It includes champagne, appetizers, and sweets. The price is $179 per person, before tax and tip. Remember, GEO-82 is for those 21 and older, including during the Fireworks Experience.

Overall, GEO-82 is a fun lounge with fantastic views. The food and beverages were good, and the service was outstanding. That said, I found it overpriced, even by Disney standards. If you’re looking for a place to celebrate or enjoy high end cocktails, go! For me, it’s most likely a one and done.
