The Hei Hei magnet will be available from January 29 until February 23. You will need to pick it up in person. Cast Members will hand them out inside Creations Shop. Your MagicBand or Annual Pass will be scanned, and you’ll need an ID. You can’t pick up an Annual Passholder magnet for someone else, even if that person is on your My Disney Experience account.
While Disney says that the Hei Hei magnet will be available “while supplies last”, they have had plenty of magnets during the past few promotions. I’m not saying that they won’t run out (there’s always a chance) but it’s unlikely.
Look for this sign! Or one just like it… If you want to pick up your Hei Hei magnet before 2:00, you’ll need to have a Disney Park Pass Reservation, unless it’s a Good-to-Go Day. Unless you’re a new Annual Passholder you most likely know the drill.
In the past, Walt Disney World has used a Virtual Queue for some Annual Passholder magnet pickups, but it’s been a while. The line is usually fairly longish the first day or two, but then totally manageable. Just look for the signs outside of Creations Shop and you’ll know you’re in the right place.
