A Good Sign About Cruising

I can’t wait to cruise again!

At the moment for the future of cruising looks bleak. From what I understand, Disney Cruise Line has canceled all trips through May 31, and all voyages on the Disney Magic through the summer. That doesn’t mean that there aren’t good signs. There’s a little bit of good news that I’d like to share with you.

Disney Cruise Line has scheduled Marvel Day at Sea and Star Wars Day at Sea cruises for 2022. Marvel Day at Sea is a five night cruise on the Disney Magic, and Star Wars Day at Sea is seven nights on the Disney Fantasy. These cruises were recently announced, which is great news. Disney would not be adding extras if they didn’t expect to be sailing again by then.

My first cruise was Marvel Day at Sea. I didn’t know Marvel all that well at the time, but it didn’t matter. The Marvel day ended up being my favorite day of the cruise! It also got me curious, and I’ve since caught up and become a Marvel fan, thanks to Disney+.

Cruises are tricky right now, because everyone is close together. While it would be possible to sail with fewer passengers, that just might not be profitable. While nothing has been officially announced by Disney Cruise Line, I expect that proof of vaccination will be required for sailing once things start up again. That will be the easiest way to keep everyone safe.

I do look forward to the day when we can sail again. My two favorite vacations as an adult have been the two cruises that I’ve been on. If you have never been on a Disney Cruise Line vacation, I can’t recommend it highly enough. It is not just for families with small children.
