The Fourth of July is almost here, which means that people everywhere will want to watch fireworks! If you’re in the Orlando area but aren’t headed to Walt Disney World, there are plenty of other choices.
One of the most popular fireworks displays in Central Florida will be held on July 3, not July 4. It’s called Red Hot & Boom. It takes place at Cranes Roost Park in Altamonte Springs, which is probably about an hour outside of Walt Disney World if there’s no traffic. Expect traffic.
Red Hot & Boom is more than just fireworks. There’s plenty of live entertainment. The event runs from 5:00 until 10:00, with the actual fireworks at 9:30.
Red Hot & Boom is free, and there will be food for sale. Arrive as early as possible so that you won’t have a hard time finding parking. Be prepared to wait once the event is over. You might want to stay as late as possible, since Crane’s Roost will clear out after the fireworks.
Other area fireworks displays include Walt Disney World, Busch Gardens Tampa, and SeaWorld Orlando.
