Four Months Later

One of the best topiaries ever!

It’s hard to believe that we’ve reached the end of the 2023 Epcot International Flower & Garden Festival. When it began on March 1 it felt like we has so much time! In the blink of an eye, it’s over.

Always beautiful after dark

The Epcot International Flower & Garden Festival is my favorite of the four Epcot Festivals. There’s just so much about it to love! From the topiaries to the gardens to the food to the music, there is a lot to enjoy.

One thing that I also like about the Epcot International Flower & Garden Festival is that it is now over four months long. We get to watch it change and evolve each year. When it starts the evenings are cooler (the days are still usually warm) and it gets dark early enough that you can see the lights on Spaceship Earth for a decent amount of time. By the time it’s over the butterflies have all been reborn, the sun sets late, and everyone keeps reminding you to hydrate!

Some things never returned to the Epcot International Flower & Garden Festival after the closure in 2020. There are no seminars or celebrity book signings. That’s okay. I think I’ve grown used to how it is now, without the extras. I can enjoy the festival for its beauty.

Gotta add one more picture of Rick Springfield…

Who knows what next year’s Flower & Garden Festival will hold? There’s been talk of a Festival Center opening in the future. As far as I know, that’s still in the works. A Cast Member just yesterday told me that she’s excited for when it opens and the festivals can expand again. A Festival Center would be a great spot to hold some of the extras that used to take place.

A may have completed Garden Graze a few times…

For now, I’m happy with what we had in 2023. For me, the Epcot International Flower & Garden Festival was special this year. It’s also time to look ahead. The Epcot International Food & Wine Festival is just around the corner! It begins on July 27, and runs until November 18. That’s not quite as long at the Flower & Garden Festival, but when it ends we’ll be talking about Christmas! I don’t know about you, but I’m ready for the Food & Wine Festival.
