Sunday Savings Series: Garden Graze

Free Dole Whip!

This might not be the biggest savings that I’ll ever mention here in my Sunday Savings Series, but it ends with free Dole Whip. I think that counts for something!

I’m talking about Garden Graze, which is part of the Epcot International Flower & Garden Festival. Garden Graze is kind of like a food scavenger hunt, except you’re told where to go so nothing is hidden. Walt Disney World refers to it as a “food stroll”, which is probably a better description. It’s simple. Pick up a Festival Passport when you enter Epcot. Inside, you’ll find the different items that are part of Garden Graze. With each item that you buy, have your Passport stamped. When you have five stamps, you will receive a treat!

Impossible Korean Short Rib and Lumpia

The treat in 2023 is Mango-Lime Dole Whip. It’s a generous portion for an Outdoor Kitchen, and it’s so refreshing! It comes in a Flower & Garden Festival cup (handwash only, it isn’t all that durable) and a pack of wildflower seeds. You can’t order this flavor, it’s available only as the Garden Graze reward.

Potato Pancakes with House-made Applesauce

What’s different at Garden Graze this year is that you can mix and match the items as much as you want. In fact, there are ten items, and you only need five stamps! Try a variety of dishes from the Outdoor Kitchens, or if you find something that you truly like, buy it more than once. (I may have bought the Impossible Lumpia at Trowel & Trellis more than once this festival, and I may be planning on ordering it again today.) You don’t have to complete your Garden Graze in one day, just use the same Passport each time you visit.

Impossible Lumia again

All four festivals at Epcot have some type of food stroll. Garden Graze is the only one that I’ve completed. My daughter is my main theme park buddy, and we often go to the festivals together. We’re both vegetarian, and she has a dairy allergy. All of the Garden Graze items are plant-based, which means that we can both participate. It’s also good for people who are lactose intolerant or have an egg allergy, they don’t have to worry about what they’re eating.

Did I mention free Dole Whip?

Completing Garden Graze is a great way to try something that you might not have ordered otherwise. I’ll mention it once again; there’s free Dole Whip at the end. It’s such a sweet reward. This is one food stroll that I’m going to complete more than once this year. The Epcot International Flower & Garden Festival runs through July 5.
