Nicole is now a tropical storm, and it looks like we could have severe weather on Thursday into Friday here in Central Florida. Walt Disney World has already announced some changes. This was the first step with Hurricane Ian back in September as well. I’ll do my best to keep you posted on the latest. Here’s the information from the Walt Disney World website:
Walt Disney World Theme Parks and Water Parks
Walt Disney World Theme Parks are currently operating under normal conditions. Please continue to monitor news outlets for the latest weather information.
Walt Disney World Water Parks and Miniature Golf locations are temporarily closed on Thursday, November 10:
- Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon water park (Disney’s Blizzard Beach water park is currently closed for the season.)
- Winter Summerland Miniature Golf
- Fantasia Gardens
- Fairways Miniature Golf
Disney Springs
- Disney Springs is currently operating under normal conditions.
I’ve also heard the following from several places, but I’m still looking for the official Disney source:
Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground, Copper Creek Cabins at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge, Treehouse Villas at Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa and the Bungalows at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort will be closed Wednesday, November 9 through Friday, November 11.
Disney is contacting Guests with current and upcoming reservations impacted by this change.
Performances of Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue have been cancelled for Wednesday, November 9 through Friday, November 11 in light of the temporary closure of Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground. Guests with pre-paid reservations will be automatically cancelled and refunded.
