Ten Second Tip: Airports and Hurricane Ian

Orlando International Airport (OIA or MCO) will be ceasing operations beginning at 10:30 AM on Wednesday, September 28 because of Hurricane Ian. There was no word on when flights will resume. Orlando Sandford International Airport (SFB) will close at 5:00 PM on Tuesday, September 27. All flights on Wednesday and Thursday are canceled. Tampa International Airport (TPA) will also close at 5:00 PM on September 27.

The airports ask that travelers do not head there, the airports are not authorized shelters.
