I’ve shared already about the special offerings that are going to start in 2019 at the Magic Kingdom and Disney’s Hollywood Studios. I’ve also given you some information about the first two festivals that will take place at Epcot next year. Now it’s time to talk about Disney’s Animal Kingdom.
Can you believe that in 2019 it will be 25 years since the release of The Lion King? That is a milestone that Disney wants to acknowledge, and the celebration will take place at Disney’s Animal Kingdom. Hakuna Matata Time Dance Party will take place on Discovery Island. It will feature Timon and Rafiki, so he’ll be seen in the park once again. Dance parties are a lot of fun because you don’t have to wait in yet another line, and it’s a fun way to get up close to (or get down with) the characters.
The other bit of fun for Disney’s Animal Kingdom to celebrate the 25th anniversary of The Lion King is that there will be new picture opportunities. They will be three dimensional, and you’ll be able to step into some of your favorite scenes from the classic story. I look forward to seeing what they come up with. The new experiences are expected to start on January 18, 2019.
